As Senior Marketing & Media Manager, you will drive the development of creative campaigns, foster community engagement, and ensure alignment with broader organisational goals. This role requires a seasoned professional who can balance high-level strategy with hands-on execution, bringing deep expertise in content creation, analytics, and community building to the table.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Social Media Strategy Development
  • Design and implement a forward-thinking social media strategy that drives brand growth, audience engagement, and measurable results.
  • Progress social media objectives in line with the organisation’s overall goals, ensuring alignment with marketing, sponsorship, and brand activations.
  1. Leadership and Team Collaboration
  • Manage and mentor junior team members, fostering their growth and ensuring the delivery of high-quality social media content.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the social media team and other departments, such as creative, marketing, and sponsorship.
  1. High-Impact Content Creation
  • Coordinate the creation of high-quality, innovative content across platforms including Instagram, X, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube.
  • Develop and oversee photography, video editing, graphic design, and copywriting to ensure all content meets brand standards and objectives.
  1. Advanced Analytics and Insights
  • Lead the tracking and analysis of social media performance metrics, delivering in-depth reports with actionable insights to improve engagement and ROI.
  • Leverage analytics tools to identify trends and opportunities for growth, refining strategies based on data-driven insights.

  • Build and nurture an engaged, loyal online community by fostering conversations, responding to comments, and addressing feedback professionally and effectively.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

Essential:

  • Proven experience (3-5 years) managing social media for brands, ideally within esports, gaming, or a related industry.
  • Deep understanding of social media platforms (including TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube) and management tools (e.g., Sprout, Buffer, Hootsuite).
  • Strong expertise in analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, native platform analytics) and the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Advanced skills in photo/video editing software (Adobe Creative Suite) and design tools.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of creating high-performing content.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage projects, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
  • A passion for esports, gaming, and digital culture, with knowledge of key trends, platforms, and community behaviors.

Desirable:

  • Experience managing social media sponsorship activations and working with brands to deliver impactful campaigns.
  • Knowledge of influencer marketing and previous collaborations with creators or esports figures.

As a Junior Esports Manager, you’ll engage directly with players and staff, contributing to the growth of our teams and competitive success. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to learn key skills through hands-on experience and guidance, reporting directly to the WYLDE Esports Manager . If you’re passionate about gaming, esports and player performance, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and nurture player talent through coaching and feedback.
  • Collaborate with coaches to create tailored training programs.
  • Track player progress and refine plans as needed.
