WYLDE Becomes Official National Tournament and Education Delivery Partner of the IEF
The Ireland Esports Federation (IEF) has officially appointed WYLDE as its National Tournament and Education Delivery Partner, formalising a relationship that has been growing since 2024 and that included the opening of Ireland’s National Esports Centre (NEC) in 2025, marking an important step in creating clear pathways for youth across the country.
Through this agreement, WYLDE will be responsible for national tournaments and education programmes under the IEF’s standards and guidance. This multi-year plan aims to connect competitive pathways across Ireland and give learners and aspiring players opportunities to develop skills, progress from grassroots levels and explore careers in esports, gaming and the wider digital and creative industries.
The NEC in Cork will continue to act as a central hub for competitions, performance development and education, while the IEF’s online platform will be a national space for tournaments, learning and community engagement. Together, these resources create a connected environment where emerging talent can grow, compete and gain experience.
By bringing their experience in competition, national infrastructure and grassroots engagement, WYLDE adds the expertise needed to make national tournaments and education programmes run smoothly and provide real opportunities for anyone interested in esports. This support strengthens the IEF’s mission to promote esports across all 32 counties, help develop talent and give participants chances to compete nationally and internationally.
With this partnership now official, the IEF and WYLDE are ready to keep expanding programmes and opportunities for youth, from beginners to high-level competitors. This announcement reflects both organisations’ wider commitment to working with others by drawing on the experience and perspective of youth, educators and the community to build a sustainable and inclusive esports ecosystem, in which everyone can contribute and participate.
